Testbericht Marcel Gottwald (Deutschland)

Since mid-August 2017 we have been part of the YippieYo family and have been able to test the Crossbuggy extensively. We first noticed the YippieYo Crossbuggy on Instagram and immediately found the concept interesting – so I checked the website for more information and looked at the posts from enthusiastic YippieYo users on Instagram.

As an “active” family, we spend a lot of time outdoors and nature is our second living room. However, our son – even though he really loves running around – like every two-year-old, eventually gets tired, and then we were faced with the choice “carry him or put him in the stroller”. Since we are often on unpaved terrain, a normal buggy – with its small wheels – is unsuitable.

We decided on the YippieYo Crossbuggy “Choco” in a brown-beige look. We were lucky that the YippieYo was delivered 10 minutes before we left for our summer vacation to Italy – so the camping holiday became the first real test. Assembly was very easy, even at 40°C in the Italian sun. The few individual parts were very well packaged and no tools are needed.

We already liked the YippieYo in the pictures online, but in reality we are absolutely thrilled. Rich colors and materials, great workmanship and an exceptional design make this Crossbuggy an absolute highlight! During the 14 day holiday the YippieYo was constantly in use – whether on the way to the pool, in town or on excursions he was a great companion. However, he could show his true strengths at the beach. Loaded with child, cooler and beach bag – which is no problem thanks to the “luggage rack” and the good space concept – the YippieYo could be pulled easily and with little effort thanks to its large 14″ disc wheels. The admiring, jealous looks of parents (mostly dads) fighting with normal buggies were simply priceless☺

If you decide on a YippieYo, you need to be aware that you can’t just blend in anonymously with the grey crowd of normal strollers… You will constantly be spoken to, people will take photos and even short test drives were done. I am even considering putting our company logo on the YippieYo and using it as a mobile advertising board.

The safety features such as the 5-point harnesses, disc wheels (preventing hands from getting into the wheels), high-quality disc brakes and the pollutant-free materials were also very convincing.
